Head coach Kevin O'Connell might be getting tired of being asked about the health of his quarterbacks heading into the Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but those questions won't stop until there is an answer.
Minnesota's coach seemed highly annoyed when speaking to the media on Wednesday, but gave reporters nothing to work with. O'Connell said both J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz would get work at practice and didn't commit to either being named the starter.
However, there might be a hint about who will be under center for the Vikings against the Eagles in the team's injury report.
Could the answer to who will be the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 be found in the team's injury report?
What is interesting about the first injury report is that one of the two quarterback options for the Minnesota Vikings is listed as a limited participant, but the other was a full go for practice.

As you can see, J.J. McCarthy is still listed with an ankle injury Since Wentz was a full participant in practice, it might be safe to call him the favorite to be Minnesota's starting quarterback against the Eagles.
Interestingly, no players were listed as out for practice and only five were limited. Along with McCarthy, there were some notable additions to the list. most notably, offensive linemen Donovan Jackson and Brian O'Neill were both on the field, but limited.
In addition to the three offensive players, defenders Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and Andrew Van Ginkel were limited. Getting these players back healthy would be a huge boost for the Vikings as they attempt to keep pace with the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions in the NFC North.
Minnesota must have as much of its talent as possible available since the upcoming schedule includes a brutal slate of games against teams that should be considered contenders this season. These games will be huge tests for the Vikings and will have a huge impact on how the team finishes the season.
The question remains as to which quarterback the Minnesota Vikings should start on Sunday if both J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz are healthy enough to suit up. Is it better to get the young passer more experience? Or should the team lean on the veteran to help them through this tough stretch and give the youngster more time to prepare?
