After deciding to part ways with multiple members of the front office earlier this week, the Minnesota Vikings and new general manager Nolan Teasley reportedly haven't wasted much time filling those vacancies.

According to the Minnesota Star Tribune's Ben Goessling on Friday, the Vikings are expected to hire Andrew Healy and Trent Kirchner as their new assistant general managers.

Healy was previously the Cleveland Browns Vice President of Research and Strategy, while Kirchner was in the Seattle Seahawks' front office with Teasley, most recently as their Vice President of Player Personnel.

Minnesota Vikings continue front office makeover with the reported additions of Andrew Healy and Trent Kirchner

When Minnesota hired Teasley as its new general manager last month, they added someone with a scouting background who also found success in his career by utilizing analytics in his evaluations of players and prospects.

With Friday's reported hires, the Vikings are adding a bit more from both of these departments, as Healy earned a Ph.D. in economics from MIT and taught economics as a professor at Loyola Marymount before joining the Browns in 2016, while Kirchner is a former Division III college quarterback (at nearby St. John's University in Minnesota) who spent eight seasons as a pro scout with the Carolina Panthers before getting hired by the Seahawks in 2010.

In addition to the reported hires of Healy and Kirchner, Goessling shared that Minnesota is expected to retain Ryan Grigson, who was one of the team's assistant general managers last season. However, the Vikings are expected to give him a different role under the team's new front office regime.

Grigson actually worked in Seattle's front office in 2018 and 2019, and Teasley was, of course, also a member of the Seahawks' front office during those two seasons. So, the two have already worked together for multiple years.

Friday's reported hires will probably be two of the most notable additions Teasley makes to Minnesota's front office this year, but don't be surprised at all if he makes even more changes during the next few weeks.
