The Minnesota Vikings are hoping to start the 2023 season off the right way with a win over a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that seems headed for a rebuild in their first season post-Tom Brady.

Last season, The Minnesota Vikings began their march toward the NFC North title with a 23-7 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 1.

It's fair to say that the Vikings far exceeded their expectations in 2022. Many believed Minnesota was entering a rebuild, and many had them pegged to finish last in the NFC North last season.

The 2023 Vikings are once again flying under the radar as the Detroit Lions have taken over the spotlight in the division, and even some believe the Chicago Bears are poised to take a jump.

For whatever reason, it seems like many don't believe the Vikings can repeat their success from a season ago.

To once again prove the doubters wrong, Minnesota will need to start the season off with a win. So let's take a look at why Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell and his team will take down Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
