Reason No. 1

Minnesota agreed to film "Quarterback" in 2022

Earlier this week, the trailer was released for the upcoming Netflix show "Quarterback" featuring Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, as well as Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Marcus Mariota during his 2022 season with the Atlanta Falcons.

The show appears to provide a unique look at each signal-caller's life on and off of the field, as NFL Films camera crews were granted access to follow each quarterback around during the entire 2022 campaign.

With this in mind, the Vikings are clearly okay with a camera crew, specifically NFL Films, capturing content behind the scenes. NFL Films is also in charge of filming each season of "Hard Knocks", so Minnesota should know what to expect from them.

It's also possible that the Vikings could have had a poor experience during the filming of "Quarterback" in 2022 and they would like to avoid taking part in a show like that again at any point in the near future.

But if Minnesota had a good experience during the filming of the Netflix show, then they might be more willing to sign their team up to be featured on "Hard Knocks" this summer.
