Chandler Zavala - G (NC State)

The Vikings have needs on both sides of the ball. On defense, cornerback, and defensive line come to the forefront, and on offense, wide receiver, and quarterback get all the attention. One area the team could look to upgrade is the interior of the offensive line, and a solid prospect who is still on the board and could potentially be a steal is NC State's, Chandler Zavala.

Zavala is a big, burly man standing 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 322 pounds. He's a very smart player who understands blocking schemes and how to utilize leverage to his advantage. He's got great strength and power and excels at driving defenders back into the second level.

He is a little slow off the snap and occasionally will get sloppy with his technique and begin to lurch at defenders who get on his outside. It's a little surprising to see Zavala still available, as he was one of the hottest names surrounding the draft in the last couple of weeks. He was mocked as high as the middle of the second round by some very respected draft analysts. The Vikings should think long and hard about him if he's available with one of their day three selections.
