Which members of the 2023 Minnesota Vikings are currently scheduled to become free agents when the new league year begins in March?

In a few weeks, the new league year for the 2024 offseason will officially begin on March 13 and every Minnesota Vikings player that entered the 2023 campaign with one year remaining on their contract will become a free agent.

A number of players from the Vikings' 2023 roster will end up with a new team this offseason, while others will work out a deal to remain in Minnesota for at least one more year.

More than 20 players who were members of the Vikings last season are currently scheduled to hit free agency in March. Some of Minnesota's most notable free agents this year include quarterback Kirk Cousins, pass rusher Danielle Hunter, offensive guard Dalton Risner, wide receiver K.J. Osborn, and linebacker Jordan Hicks.

Who could the Minnesota Vikings bring back in free agency?

Whether the Vikings re-sign Cousins or not is what will likely determine how they approach the rest of their group of free agents this offseason.

The veteran quarterback isn't expected to be offering any sort of discount, so if his asking price ends up being too high, Minnesota could say "no thanks" and end their relationship with the player they signed back in 2018.

Of the players who are currently scheduled to become free agents in March, some of the names that have a high chance of returning to the Vikings probably aren't going to provide the fan base with a gigantic amount of excitement. This group includes guys like Nick Muse, Theo Jackson, Blake Brandel, Cam Akers, and Johnny Mundt.

As for the players that have a good chance of landing elsewhere this year, it would be very shocking if K.J. Osborn, Marcus Davenport, Josh Dobbs, Jordan Hicks, and Greg Joseph reached a deal to remain with Minnesota for at least one more season.
