Prior to the start of the 2024 NFL season, Sunday's matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans wasn't one that many had anticipated to be one of the marquee games in Week 3. But with both the Vikings and Texans heading into the contest with unbeaten records, plenty of people will be tuning in to see how this game turns out.

In addition to the fact that both teams are currently 2-0, Sunday's matchup also has some extra intrigue as it will feature a number of notable former Minnesota and Houston players going up against their old squads, including Stefon Diggs, Danielle Hunter, Blake Cashman, and Jonathan Greenard.

How to Watch Vikings vs. Texans on Local TV

Sunday's contest between Minnesota and Houston will be broadcast on CBS at 12 p.m. CST. According to the graphic below from 506Sports.com, residents of the areas that are shaded in blue will have the game shown on their local CBS affiliate.

On the call for CBS from inside the broadcast booth, Ian Eagle will be doing the play-by-play, Charles Davis will be chiming in with color commentary, and Evan Washburn will serve as the sideline reporter.

How to Stream Vikings vs. Texans without Cable

Several streaming platforms will also broadcast Sunday's game between the Vikings and Texans, including YouTube TV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, and FuboTV.

Subscribers with a streaming package that includes their local CBS channel will be able to view the Week 3 contest if they live in one of the local markets where it is being broadcast (from the graphic above).

People with paid subscriptions to Paramount+ or NFL+ will also be able to stream Sunday's game if they live in an area where the matchup is being shown on their local CBS affiliate.

This weekend's game will be the sixth time that the Vikings and Texans have ever played. Minnesota has emerged as the winner in each of the five previous meetings, with their most recent victory taking place in Week 4 of the 2020 season.

Sunday's game will also be just the second time that the Vikings have faced the Texans inside U.S. Bank Stadium. The first matchup between the two teams inside Minnesota's current home stadium took place back in 2016 when the Vikings cruised to a 31-13 victory.
