With the way he's been able to throw the ball all over the field for the Minnesota Vikings in recent years, there's no question Kirk Cousins is a stud quarterback in this league. However, time and time again, people try and bring the veteran down.
Fortunately, the haters have nothing to say this week. With the NFL Top 100 being posted, Cousins has checked in at the No. 42 spot. While we think he deserved to be a bit higher on the list, Vikings fans will surely take this.
Kirk Cousins will look to silence his doubters during the 2023 season
This isn't the first time that Cousins has been honored on the Top 100, as he's been featured in seven of the past eight years. However, this is the highest Cousins has been, as his previous best spot was No. 58 in 2020.
At this time last year, Cousins checked in at No. 99. Come on, that was a joke. However, No. 42 is something that people should be happy about. After helping Minnesota win the NFC North last winter, Cousins is ready to post some more memorable performances in '23.
Last year for the Vikes, Cousins tossed for 4,547 yards and 29 touchdowns - good enough to earn him a trip to the Pro Bowl. So, what will be in store for the four-time Pro Bowler moving forward with this squad?
The hope is that Minnesota can post a deep run in the playoffs this campaign. Last season, the Vikings, the No. 3 seed, were stunned by the Giants in the Wild Card Round. Now, though, Minnesota is focused on the future and Cousins will play a massive role on this potentially being a year to remember.
