Throughout the offseason, we have seen way too much disrespect go towards Minnesota Vikings signal-caller Kirk Cousins. Haters have raced to call him overrated, which is absurd to even think about. Cousins is a stud quarterback, just ask Patrick Mahomes about that.

Mahomes is without question the top QB in the league, as the reigning Super Bowl MVP has been sensational to watch in recent years. He's also a big-time fan of Cousins' game, as he thinks the Minnesota standout is the most underrated QB out there. Plenty of Vikings fans agree with him.

"“I think this guy right here,” Mahomes said of Cousins when asked who's the most underrated QB in the NFL. “I mean, if you look at Kirk over here, man. Wins every year. Puts up great stats. Did it in Washington. Does it in Minnesota. Talk to any other quarterbacks in the league, and they’re gonna say the same thing.”"

Patrick Mahomes calling Kirk Cousins underrated is spot on

Cousins indeed has been spectacular, throwing for at least 4,000 yards in seven of the past eight seasons. In 2022 for the Vikes, the veteran tossed for 4,547 yards and 29 touchdowns. The chemistry he and Justin Jefferson have developed has been amazing to see.

What has people bashing Cousins is that he hasn't had a ton of success in the postseason. This past winter, the Vikings had the No. 3 seed in the NFC and they were favorites to take down the Giants in the Wild Card Round, but Daniel Jones and Co. pulled off quite the upset. That loss still stings.

However, the expectations are high for this team moving forward and Cousins will be ready to put on a show in '23. While a lot of people have doubts about his game, others think he'll have the offense rockin' once again. We now know this includes Mahomes.
