Vikings 53-man roster predictions following 2023 NFL Draft
By Adam Patrick
What might the final 53-man roster look like for the Minnesota Vikings next season following their selections in the 2023 NFL Draft?
Following the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft, we are now one step closer to the Minnesota Vikings returning to the field to defend the NFC North crown they won last season.
During this year's NFL Draft, the Vikings ended up adding six talented prospects who could all make an impact for the team as rookies. Following the draft, Minnesota added even more players to their current roster when they signed 15 undrafted free agents.
With the Vikings' 2023 roster almost completely full after this year's NFL Draft, let's attempt to make some very early predictions about what the team's final 53-man roster could end up looking like for the 2023 campaign, starting with the quarterbacks.
Quarterbacks (3)
- Kirk Cousins
- Nick Mullens
- Jaren Hall (R)
Unless Minnesota decides to trade Kirk Cousins to another team this summer, he will enter the 2023 season as the Vikings' starting quarterback for the sixth year in a row.
Minnesota re-signed Nick Mullens to a two-year contract this offseason, so it's very likely that he will remain the team's backup behind Cousins in 2023.
The Vikings used a fifth-round pick on former BYU quarterback Jaren Hall this past weekend. Hall probably isn't going to get much playing time in 2023, but if he performs well in training camp and the preseason this summer, there's a chance that he could convince Minnesota to make him their new starter in 2024.
