This coming season might be one of the last with some of the current guys on this bus for the Minnesota Vikings, and one or two are particularly notable names.

As training camp approaches, a lot of players are starting to think about life beyond this season, specifically those entering a contract year.

The Vikings have some fairly important names in that conversation, and should do what they can to extend at least the following two of them.

K.J. Osborn, WR

As the Vikings' third option at receiver, K.J. Osborn has been as good as it gets. The Vikes truly have a luxury in a guy as talented as he is. He'll rarely get a tough matchup, thanks to Justin Jefferson and now the rookie, Jordan Addison. But, he produces.

Over the last two seasons, Osborn has been able to amass at least 650 receiving yards, scoring five touchdowns in 2022 and seven in 2021. Ask any team around the league, and most would tell you they'd take those numbers out of their WR3 in a heartbeat.

Now, before he hits the open market next year, Osborn should get an extension from Minnesota. To be able to have he, Jefferson and Addison now for the foreseeable future gives them a young, multi-talented type of trio at wide receiver.

Osborn is just 26 years old and going into the final year of his rookie contract.
