Danielle Hunter - Edge

It's still hard to know if Danielle Hunter will be with the Minnesota Vikings for the 2023 season due to being unhappy with his current contract situation. That situation makes it even more unlikely that he will be on the roster for 2024.

If Hunter does play through his 2023 season, it is highly unlikely he would re-sign with the Vikings unless they compensate him greatly. At this time, it's probably best to just prepare for the pass-rusher's eventual exit.

Hunter has been streaky in his effectiveness. When he and Za'Darius Smith were healthy, they were productive in achieving presssure on opposing quarterbacks. However, when defenses could focus on slowing him down, Hunter struggled.

With the future of both Za'Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter up in the air, the Minnesota Vikings may have to start looking at some long-term replacements since they could be without them both by the 2024 NFL season.
