Fourth-Round Pick No. 2

Dontay Corleone - DT (Cincinnati)

The Vikings definitely need to bolster both of their interior lines. They upgraded the offensive with the previous pick and now find a beast for their defensive line with this gangster. Corleone has a compact build with a strong core and long limbs that he uses to fend off blocks. He's quick off the ball and loves using his big old mitts to fight through blocks on his way to the ball carrier.

Corleone is an excellent run defender who can penetrate through the slightest of gaps, causing the ball carrier to redirect, usually leading to a loss. He shows great instincts and has the strength to hold his own against blockers at the point of attack.

Corleone may never be a guy who takes over a game and causes multiple destructive plays. What he can be is a solid contributor who is stout against the run while providing the occasional pressure to the quarterback. The strength, production, and technique are all there, and he could develop into a key rotational piece on the Vikings' defensive line early in his career.
