It has been more than a decade since former Minnesota Vikings legendary wide receiver Randy Moss last appeared in an NFL game. But now, Moss has decided to join some other former NFL players and "unretire" this year.
Moss, along with former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith, and former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice, star in this new ad for Frito-Lay and Pepsi.
It seems like the clip Marino shared online is just a teaser and a longer version will be released in the future, likely during the NFL's first game of the 2023 season between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, September 7th.
If only Moss were truly unretiring and suiting up for the Vikings. Imagine the havoc he and Justin Jefferson would cause out on the field together for Minnesota. Opposing defenses would lose their minds!
But at the current age of 46, Moss actually unretiring and returning to an NFL field as a player isn't very realistic. So, instead, we'll just have to see what Frito-Lay and Pepsi have come up with for the former Vikings star receiver in their latest ad campaign.
When he's not starring in commercials, Moss is busy working as an NFL analyst for ESPN. The former Minnesota receiver has been with ESPN since 2016, and he just signed a new multi-year deal with the company in 2022.
