Vikings Rumors: Minnesota willing to listen to Justin Jefferson trade offers
By Adam Patrick
Already one of the best wide receivers in franchise history, a recent Minnesota Vikings rumor points to the team possibly trading Justin Jefferson in 2024.
During his first four seasons in the NFL as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been the definition of greatness.
More often than not, the Vikings have been able to depend on Jefferson to come up with a big play during the last four years. He hasn't even been in the league that long, but he's quickly been inserted into conversations with other great Minnesota pass-catchers like Randy Moss and Cris Carter.
During the last few weeks, Jefferson working out an extension with the Vikings has been one of the hottest topics around the NFL. And until he actually agrees to a new deal with Minnesota, expect it to continue to be a topic that everyone around the league pays attention to.
Vikings Rumors: "Steam" about Minnesota trading Justin Jefferson continues to pick up
With Jefferson and the Vikings still not agreeing to an extension, some have suggested the possibility of the team trading the superstar wide receiver at some point in the near future.
On Sunday, the Pioneer Press' Charley Walters shared that "steam continues that the Vikings could make Justin Jefferson available for trade."
With Walters, this could be a mix of both speculation and things he's heard from some possible Vikings team sources. So, his comment doesn't seem like something that should be ignored.
The idea of Minnesota trading Jefferson this year still sounds insane. But it seems like if the right offer is presented to the Vikings, they would at least consider agreeing to it.
Now, this doesn't mean that Minnesota is actively seeking to trade their No. 1 wide receiver. It just means that they're willing to listen to offers from teams around the NFL that might be interested in making a deal for him.
Currently, signs still point to the Vikings and Jefferson eventually agreeing to a new contract. But until the All-Pro wide receiver actually signs an extension from Minnesota, this speculation about the team sending him elsewhere this offseason is only going to continue.
