Vikings takeaway No. 4

Kicking has not been an issue so far.

The Minnesota Vikings brought in Jack Podlesny to seemingly compete with the returning Greg Joseph but that didn't turn out to be the situation at all. Podlesny was waived less than a week ago, leaving Joseph to keep the job.

Joseph made some clutch field goals last season and was solid, missing only one field goal attempt inside 50 yards. However, he failed to connect on six extra-point tries, raising some eyebrows and putting the team in some tough situations.

On a positive note, Joseph was flawless in Week 2 of the preseason. He made all three of his field goal tries as well as connecting on the sold extra point attempt. He was perfect in Week 1 of the preseason as well, making both field goal tries and an extra point.

It will be fun to see if Greg Joseph can go all preseason without a miss and keep that momentum going into the regular season. The Vikings seem to have faith that Joseph can do what the team needs him to do this year.
