What time is the 2024 NFL Draft tonight for the Minnesota Vikings?
By Adam Patrick
After months of waiting, the 2024 NFL Draft is finally here for the Minnesota Vikings and the 31 other teams in the league.
Day 1 of the draft will only consist of the first round, so after the 32nd pick, additional waiting will need to happen before more selections are made on Friday.
This year's NFL Draft is taking place in Detroit, Michigan, which is the home of the reigning NFC North champion Detroit Lions. Given this, we should expect there to be plenty of trash talk from any of the current or former Vikings, Chicago Bears, or Green Bay Packers players who will announce a selection during the next three days.
What time is the NFL Draft tonight for the Minnesota Vikings?
According to NFL.com, television coverage of the opening round of this year's NFL Draft will begin at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday. The first round will be televised on NFL Network, ABC, ESPN, and ESPN Deportes.
Every team in the opening round gets 10 minutes to make their selection, so based on this, the time in which each team's pick is announced could look like the following.
1. Chicago Bears - 7:10 p.m.
2. Washington Commanders - 7:20 p.m.
3. New England Patriots - 7:30 p.m.

Obviously, the times could change if teams decide to turn in the card for their selection before their 10 minutes expire. So, the times for each pick listed above should still be viewed as a rough estimate.
The time in which Minnesota ends up making their top selection could also change if they figure out a way to trade up in the first round. If they manage to make a deal to move all the way up to the No. 3 pick, the Vikings could potentially make their selection more than an hour earlier than originally scheduled.
So, for Minnesota fans, it's a good idea to probably just tune into the very start of the opening round on Thursday in order to avoid missing out on seeing the team make their first pick if they are able to trade up.
