In the first half of his first NFL regular-season game, rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison scored the first touchdown of the 2023 campaign for the Minnesota Vikings in their Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Addison hauled in an easy 39-yard pass from Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, and the rookie showed off his best celebration after putting six on the board for Minnesota.

Everyone knew that Minnesota star wide receiver Justin Jefferson was going to get a ton of attention from the Bucs defense on Sunday. But the Vikings drafted Addison for this very scenario, and the offense used the attention on Jefferson to their advantage with the touchdown pass to the rookie.

If Addison continues to find the end zone this season, it's only going to make life even more difficult for opposing defenses as they attempt to figure out a way to cover both him and Jefferson.

So far, so good for Addison in his first regular-season game as a member of Minnesota's roster.
