It's been more than a decade since Randy Moss last suited up in a Minnesota Vikings uniform, but that doesn't mean the Hall of Famer hasn't been paying attention to everything that his former team has been doing during the last few months.
Signing quarterback Kyler Murray in free agency has easily been the highlight of the Vikings' offseason so far, and during a recent interview with Bleacher Report's Scott Polacek, Moss shared how he thinks Minnesota's newest signal-caller can reach his full potential in a purple and gold uniform next season.
"What I'm excited about is the opportunity in front of Kyler Murray. He's got a great wide receiver in Justin Jefferson, who now can try to regain his dominance as the No. 1 wide receiver in all of football.
Kyler Murray also has something to prove. He was the future of the Arizona Cardinals, but they basically threw him away.
If he's able to deliver the ball to Justin Jefferson, everything else with the defense and every other weapon will be fine.
But all eyes will be on whether he can do that so they both can regain their dominance."
Randy Moss reacts to Minnesota Vikings signing QB Kyler Murray in the offseason
Most Vikings fans reading Moss's thoughts about what will lead Murray to success in 2026 likely all had the same thought in their heads.
"Well, duh."
But building a solid connection with Justin Jefferson is easier said than done, though. Just ask Minnesota quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosmer.
The good thing about Murray is that he's already proven he can perform at a high level when he has an All-Pro receiver like Jefferson to throw to. Some of the veteran quarterback's best seasons of his NFL career were when DeAndre Hopkins was his No. 1 option with the Arizona Cardinals.
Hopkins and Murray were able to team up and produce some impressive numbers during their time together, and if Minnesota's new quarterback and Jefferson can do the same in 2026, Moss believes there's a good chance it will lead to great things for his former team.
