The Minnesota Vikings shocked many fans who watched Monday Night Football when they completed an improbable comeback against the Chicago Bears. The exciting win gave fans hope for the season after a frustrating first three quarters of the game.

However, there were some tough things that happened in the game. Two players who suited up on Monday for the Vikings will miss time while recovering from injuries, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell, when talking to the press on Wednesday.

A couple of Minnesota Vikings players got banged up on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears in Week 1 and will miss time.

Minnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler was able to finish the game and make a great decision in the final minutes to take the ball out of the end zone to burn the two-minute warning, but he sustained a knee injury that will cause him to miss time.

Chandler didn't contribute offensively in this game, but he returned three kickoffs for 84 yards, averaging 28 yards per return. But O'Connell noted that they are still working through what this means for the roster since he will miss some time. Those return duties will likely go to wide receiver Myles Price.

Perhaps a more notable loss from the game was the injury to linebacker Blake Cashman. Cashman left the Week 1 game against Chicago with a hamstring injury and did not return. That injury will cause him to miss some time this season.

In his place, veteran Eric Wilson will likely get the nod. Wilson entered Monday night's game in place of Cashman and played very well. Although Cashman is one heck of a football player, the Vikings signed Wilson this offseason to provide depth in case something like this happened.

Other Vikings players are dealing with injuries, but Ty Chandler and Blake Cashman were specifically noted as the individuals who will miss time. The purple and gold will need to make adjustments to be ready for the coming weeks.

The Minnesota Vikings have another prime-time game coming up in Week 2 when they host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football. Once again, the team will be under the lights on a national stage. Sadly, they will need to prepare for that game without including contributions from running back Ty Chandler and Blake Cashman. However, the team's roster boasts great depth and should be able to put a competitive team on the field against Atlanta.
