Adrian Peterson is reportedly fine after leaving Tuesday’s practice with a leg injury, but the Vikings obviously aren’t taking any chances with their meal ticket running back.

The Vikings took the field for a Wednesday morning walkthrough but Peterson was not among the players participating according to beat reporters on the scene.
The Vikings are scheduled to have a practice this afternoon, so we’ll see if Peterson gets out there. But my guess is they’ll hold him out just to be on the safe side.
According to reports, Peterson went down in practice Tuesday after taking a helmet to the thigh. Concerned tweets from reporters on the scene inspired near-hysterical reactions from Viking fans who see Peterson as a key part of an anticipated resurgent season for the purple.
But word quickly came down from the Vikings that Peterson was okay and fans were able to pull themselves off the ledge.
Though Peterson isn’t participating in practice so far today, I don’t think there’s any reason to return to the ledge. The Vikings almost certainly are just being cautious with their most important player not named Teddy Bridgewater.
Of course I suppose it’s possible that Adrian’s leg is hurt worse than the team wants to let on…
But no, I’m sure that’s not the case. They’d tell us if Peterson was really banged up, right?
RIGHT???
Update:
Adrian Peterson has a sleeve on his right thigh, but, again, this thigh bruise doesn't appear serious. #Vikings
