Adrian Peterson swallowed chew on plane and vomited (Report)
By Dan Zinski
There is no more mystery about Adrian Peterson’s “illness” from Saturday. According to Fox, Peterson became sick when he accidentally swallowed chewing tobacco on the plane ride to the Detroit.
The clinical term for what happened to Peterson is “something gross went down his throat and he puked.” As a result of the puking, Peterson was downgraded to questionable for Sunday’s game.
Let me stress that this was an accidental swallowing of chewing tobacco caused apparently by turbulence.
Chewing tobacco on a plane during turbulence is apparently dangerous.
Peterson has suffered various mishaps during his time with the Vikings. A few years back he reportedly found glass in his food while dining in a Green Bay area restaurant before a game.
This wasn’t before a game but there was also that time Peterson ate seafood and had to go to the hospital after a bad reaction.
And while we’re on the subject of Peterson mishaps, how about the time he fell off his PhunkeeDuck.
Stuff happens to Peterson. We’re glad he recovered from his swallowed-tobacco episode and was able to play Sunday against Detroit.
Missing a game from swallowing tobacco and puking would have been such a baseball player thing to do.
