Adrian Peterson is living proof that dispatching your agent to act like a horrible, possibly deranged human being on your behalf can in fact pay off.

All that public posturing by Ben Dogra, posturing that reached epic levels when the agent reportedly nearly got into a fistfight with a Vikings executive, has resulted in Peterson getting the new deal he desired.

And yes, there is guaranteed money.

The Vikings on Tuesday announced that they and Peterson have reached agreement on a restructured contract.

According to Yahoo Sports! Charles Robinson, there is two years of guaranteed money in the deal.

The deal reportedly includes $13 million in guaranteed money for 2015.

Only the final year of Peterson’s contract remains non-guaranteed.

Peterson reacted to the news in a statement (via CBS Local):

"“I appreciate the Vikings for working together on this restructured contract, which provides additional security for me but also allows opportunities for me to further prove my value to the team and within the NFL,” Peterson said. “It was important for me to continue my career in Minnesota, and I cannot wait to get on the field in front of Vikings fans again.”"

Ben Dogra certainly earned his chunk of Peterson’s new deal. Congratulations to agent and player for parlaying zero leverage into millions of dollars.
