The Minnesota Vikings have shuffled up their defensive line rotation going into today’s game vs. Detroit.
Last week the Vikes gave rookie Danielle Hunter a chance to play while sitting Justin Trattou. But this week that is reversed. Hunter this week will be watching from the sidelines while Trattou gets a chance to be in the mix.
With the Vikings playing a more pass-happy team in Detroit, Mike Zimmer probably wants his best pass-rushing defensive ends in the active lineup.
Zimmer likely thinks that Trattou is a better pass rusher right now than Hunter, who is still working on keeping his pads low and using his quickness to get around blockers.
