Early in the 4th the Chargers drove into the red zone looking to score and get back into the game against the Vikings. But Chad Greenway was there to make sure San Diego would not find paydirt.
Philip Rivers’ pass was tipped in the air and the wily Greenway was there to pluck it and tuck it and run for glory.
A convoy of blockers accompanied Greenway on his 91-yard rumble to the end zone for a game-sealing touchdown.
Yes, Chad Greenway of all people. He may not get as many chances as he used to but Greenway knows how to make the most of his opportunities.

A little weirdness broke out on the play when a pair of Vikings coaches including Mike Zimmer got tangled up with the ref as he ran down the sideline following Greenway.
The collision with the official resulted in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that was assessed on the ensuing kickoff.
At that point nobody really cared about the penalty since the TD counted.
The Vikings went up 31-7 on Greenway’s pick-six and that was all she wrote. The Vikings are 2-1 on the season after two straight dominating defensive performances.
Do you smell playoffs? Maybe a little too early yet.
