The Vikings had a pair of players go out with injury in the first quarter against San Diego: Receiver Charles Johnson and DE Justin Trattou.
Johnson appeared to be injured while running a deep sideline route that resulted in a pass interference penalty against San Diego. The Chargers defender tugged on Johnson’s jersey while he was running and I don’t know if that caused the injury or not.
Adam Thielen came on in place of Johnson who has not been having a good season (and an injury isn’t going to help the situation).
A few plays later, Trattou went down on the field with a leg injury and had to be carted off.
Trattou was active for the first time this season last week and rewarded Mike Zimmer with a big interception of Matthew Stafford.
Johnson reportedly returned to the sideline and his status has been updated:
Charles Johnson has a rib injury and is questionable to return.

Trattou’s status has also been updated. Both men are questionable to return.
#Vikings DE Justin Trattou (ankle) is also questionable to return.

Update: Charles Johnson returned for the first series of the second quarter so I guess his rib injury was not serious.
