A scary moment for the Minnesota Vikings and CB Xavier Rhodes late in the second quarter against San Diego.
The Chargers were driving down the field when Philip Rivers threw deep to Keenan Allen who evaded Rhodes and safety Andrew Sendejo to slip in for the touchdown that cut the Vikings’ lead to 10-7.
On the play, Rhodes collided with Sendejo, taking both men out of the play and allowing Allen to score.
Video shows what a violent collision it was between Rhodes and Sendejo with Rhodes coming out on the short end of the stick.

Rhodes would lie motionless on the field for a significant period of time before finally rising to his feet and being helped off.
Rhodes did not look good trying to walk off the field and a later shot of him leaving the sideline did not look much better.
I would be surprised if Rhodes is able to return for the second half. With Rhodes out, the Vikings will have to dig into their cornerback depth.
Will Mike Zimmer turn to rookie Trae Waynes or will he go with the veteran Marcus Sherels?
The Vikings got back Jabari Price from a two game suspension this week but he was listed among the inactives.
Hopefully Rhodes will not be out for too long. But the way his body went floppy on the collision with Sendejo suggests that he could be pretty messed up.
Update: Not surprisingly, Rhodes is being examined for a possible concussion.
