Minnesota Vikings vs. Lions: Game time, TV, where to watch

The Minnesota Vikings (3-2) take on the Detroit Lions (1-5) in a key division matchup Sunday, Oct. 25 at Ford Field in Detroit. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET.

Quarterbacks

Teddy Bridgewater looks to bounce back after a poor game vs. Kansas City in which he threw two interceptions.

Detroit’s Matthew Stafford was battered by the Vikings’ pass rush in the first meeting this year between the two teams.

Running backs

Adrian Peterson is listed as questionable for the game with an illness.

Talented Detroit rookie running back Ameer Abdullah has suffered fumbling issues and was benched two weeks ago.

Wide receivers/tight ends

With Charles Johnson healthy, the Vikings will have to make a call on whether to activate six receivers for Sunday’s game.

Lions receiver Golden Tate complained about what he perceived as dirty play by the Vikings after their last meeting.

Offensive line

The Vikings’ offensive line was heavily criticized for their poor run blocking last week against Kansas City.

Detroit’s offensive line must do a much better job of protecting Matthew Stafford than they did in the the first game vs. Minnesota.

Defensive line

Minnesota expects to have back DE Everson Griffen after he missed last week’s game with an illness. Sharrif Floyd has been ruled out.

The Lions pulled off a fake punt last week against the Bears and, given the desperate state of their season, could attempt more trickery this week.

Prediction: The Lions appear to have sorted out some of their offensive woes and should be able to pull this one out against the Vikings.
