Stefon Diggs adds ridiculous highlight reel catch to resume (Video)

Stefon Diggs announced his presence with authority two weeks ago by going for 129 yards on seven catches against the Kansas City Chiefs.

And then he proved that performance was no fluke by catching six balls for 108 yards against the Detroit Lions.

One of those six catches stood out above all the rest.

In the third quarter with the Vikings trailing by two, Diggs burned Rashean Mathis on a double-move, getting wide open.

Teddy Bridgewater’s pass was a hair overthrown (or maybe more than a hair) but that made no difference to Stefon Diggs.

Overthrow Stefon Diggs? He’ll just jump in the air and catch it.

And not only catch it but somehow roll himself over as he lands so he can complete the play.

The catch is great but the really pretty part is the route.

DB had very little shot on this one.

After the game Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater explained how the play happened (via Vikings.com):

"We did a great job of setting that play up,” Bridgewater said. “We knew Detroit (1-6) had seen us run a certain route so many times and those guys were sitting on it. We knew we could get a favorable matchup with Diggs over there. He did a great job of setting the route up. All I had to do was lay it out there, and he went and made the play.”"
