The Minnesota Vikings will be returning to London, England during the 2017 NFL season to play the Cleveland Browns in the International Series.
Last time the Minnesota Vikings visited London, England to play NFL football, they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in front of an ocean of purple. Now, fans in the UK will get another chance to see the team in action.
Announced on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 on the official Minnesota Vikings website, the team will be playing the Cleveland Browns in either week 7 or week 8 of the 2017 NFL season at Twickenham Stadium.
The Vikings even gave fans in the UK two possible dates to circle on their calendars for the upcoming game:
The best part of the announcement is that this will not be a home game for the Vikings. Minnesota will be considered the visitors for this contest and they will still be scheduled for 8 games at U.S. Bank Stadium.
In addition, it is fun that the opponent for Minnesota will be the struggling Cleveland Browns, meaning that the Vikings will have a great opportunity to put on a fun show for those in attendance.
