The Minnesota Vikings have announced the signing of exclusive right free agent offensive lineman Zac Kerin for the 2017 NFL season.
While not every signing during free agency can be a blockbuster move, the Minnesota Vikings have been able to retain several of their own players while taking care of many of the exclusive rights and restricted free agents.
In fact, the Vikings announced on April 13, 2017 that Minnesota has come to put ink to paper on a deal with offensive lineman Zac Kerin, who showed some flashes in limited action during the preseason during 2015 and 2016.
Here is the tweet from the official Twitter account of the Minnesota Vikings announcing the transaction:
Kerin was an undrafted free agent in 2014 from Toledo before signing with the Minnesota Vikings. During his college career, he was named to the All-MAC Team three times, earning first team honors twice.

He played 50 games at Toledo, starting 38 of those and not missing a single game in 3 years. His offensive line grouping in the 3rd ranked offense allowing just 5 sacks in 2013, which was best in the nation.
Kerin didn’t see regular season action with the Minnesota Vikings until the 2015 season. He got into the game in week 9 and once again in week 15, finishing out the season with action in the remaining contests.
During the 2016 season, he replaced right guard Brandon Fusco after he exited with a concussion in week 5. Kerin got back in a regular season contest last season in the 4th quarter of week 14, once again replacing Fusco and once again finished the season with playing time in the remaining games.

The Minnesota Vikings appear to really like Kerin and see him as a potential right guard. With that position up in the air when it comes to naming a starter, it is always good to add depth and competition for the spot, and Kerin should be a great individual to challenge for main roster once again this season.
