The Minnesota Vikings are well represented on the Pro Football Focus Week 3 Team of the Week, with two players from the franchise honored by the stat site.

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming to town, Week 3 of the NFL season looked as though it would be a huge challenge for the Minnesota Vikings after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers the previous week.

However, that was not the case. Minnesota came out firing on all cylinders and managed to beat down the visitors, winning the game by a final score of 34-17 while scoring 4 touchdowns and getting 3 interceptions.

For their work in this game, Pro Football Focus included two members of the team on their Week 3 Team of the Week. Here are the members of Minnesota’s team who received the honor according to the official PFF website:

Quarterback – Case Keenum

"“Keenum had a passer rating of 150.6 when kept clean in the pocket, and even when hurried he completed nine of 11 passes for 114 yards. On deep passes, he completed three of five attempts for 107 yards and a score.” PFF Grade: 87.7Elite Stat: Case Keenum had an adjusted completion percentage of 81.8."

Case Keenum turned in the performance of his career against an injury-riddled Tampa Bay defense. When given time in the pocket, he was able to pick apart the Buccaneers schemes, particularly when in a zone defense, thanks to strong route running, timing, and accuracy.

On the day, Keenum completed 35 of his 33 pass attempts for a whopping total of 369 yards, astoundingly averaging 11.2 yards per completion while throwing three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Wide Receiver – Stefon Diggs

"“Diggs looks more like Antonio Brown by the week, and once again broke loose with some slick route running, but also displayed an ability to go up over defensive backs and make tough contested catches that put much larger receivers to shame.” PFF Grade: 89.7Elite Stat: Stefon Diggs gained 5.97 yards per route run, by far the most in the league this week."

Not enough positive things can be said about the performance of Diggs. Although he did drop at least one pass, he rebounded in an amazing way, finishing the game with 173 yards on 8 catches and finding the end zone twice.

One of the most impressive things about Diggs’ game is his ability to run after the catch. Even when making a contested catch, he will look to move up the field by using his elusiveness and acceleration to surprise defenders.
