The Minnesota Vikings are at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine doing their research and meeting with prospective players to select in the NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft is an important time for NFL franchises to make sure they select the best possible player to join their franchise. For teams like the Minnesota Vikings, that includes watching tape, getting measurables, and meeting with players they are interested in.

One of their best chances to get a first impression on many of the prospects is to meet them at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine to get a feel where a player’s head is at and see if they could be a good fit for their team.

Here is a list of the players who the Minnesota Vikings have reportedly met with at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine according to Walter Football:

More from The Viking Age

  • Ryan Nall, FB, Oregon State
  • Billy Price, G/C, Ohio State
  • Scott Quessenberry, G/C, UCLA
  • Frank Ragnow, G/C, Arkansas
  • Mike White, QB, Western Kentucky
  • Jake Wieneke, WR, South Dakota State

It comes as no surprise that every single player on the list is on the offensive side of the ball and all but two of them are blocking specialists either on the offensive line or in the run game.

The Vikings are known for how much they value having players who can play multiple positions on the field, which is why seeing several players who can play guard and center on the list of visits is quite logical.

Having a fullback on the list is interesting considering C.J. Ham did a solid job at that position for the team during the 2017 NFL season and is under contract at a small salary through the 2018 season.

Of course, the Minnesota Vikings will be conducting further meetings with prospects when they invite their favorite possible targets for the Top 30 meeting before the NFL Draft. However, it’s never too early to do solid research, especially on offensive linemen.
