Teddy Bridgewater wants to be a starting quarterback in the NFL and plenty of teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, are looking into his services.

Finding a starting caliber quarterback in today’s NFL is essential. Many teams will always be willing to gamble in order to find their signal caller of the future, and it appears as though the cycle continues with Teddy Bridgewater and the Minnesota Vikings.

At this time, there is still a chance that Bridgewater will return to Minnesota, but with his contract not tolling and him scheduled to become a free agent at the start of the new league year, it is possible he could be playing for a different team in 2018.

Of course, there would need to be mutual interest for a deal to get done. According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, there appears to be a market for the quarterback.

Teddy Bridgewater meeting with kids and encouraging them to be more physically active is something fans of the Vikings shouldn’t be surprised to hear. He has always been a standup member of the community and a positive influence.

However, the question marks surrounding Bridgewater have nothing to do with his character are more about his knee. The quarterback suffered an injury during practice which required surgery and extensive rehabilitation before the 2016 NFL season.

Bridgewater saw action in the game between the Vikings and Bengals during the 2017 season when Minnesota had a massive lead but otherwise hasn’t seen much action since starting all 16 games in 2015 and posting a rating of 88.7 according to ESPN.

Adam Schefter’s report that a ‘handful of teams’ have interest in Teddy Bridgewater is an interesting one considering how many teams could be in the market for a quarterback this offseason.

Next: Where could Bridgewater play in 2018?

With there being some interest outside of the Minnesota Vikings organization for Teddy Bridgewater, there is a good chance he could find a starting gig somewhere. The only question is if he will be playing for a new team during the 2018 NFL season or staying in the land of 10,000 Lakes.
