The Minnesota Vikings have already brought home a Webby Award for the Minneapolis Miracle and now they hope to win two ESPYS awards for the amazing play.

For fans of the Minnesota Vikings, there was nothing more exciting than watching the last-moment heroics of Case Keenum as he connected with Stefon Diggs on an amazing play to win the Divisional Round playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.

Known as the Minneapolis Miracle, the last second victory energized Vikings fans around the world and pushed Minnesota to within one game of the Super Bowl, which was held at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Although the Vikings didn’t reach the big game and their season ended at the hands of the eventual Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, that play will live on forever as one of the most exciting moments in Minnesota sports.

Having already won a Webby award for capturing the play on the team’s social media channels, the Minneapolis Miracle is now up for two ESPYS awards. Here are the categories, their opposition, and where you can vote:

Best Moment

  • Vikings defeat Saints in NFC Divisional Round
  • Notre Dame defeats Mississippi State for NCAA title
  • Golden Knights advance to the Stanley Cup Finals
  • No. 16 UMBC upsets No. 1 Virginia

Best Play (Round 1 of Bracket-style voting)

  • No. 2: Stefon Diggs makes last-second TD (2nd seed)
  • No. 15: William Karlsson’s between-the-legs goal (15th seed)

VOTE FOR BEST PLAY HERE

Diggs should be able to surpass Karlsson’s goal in this round, but being the second seed can be tough. Not only are you not the favorite in that spot to win the whole thing, but you’ll be taking on underdogs until eventually facing off against the number one seed (if they make it to the finals).

Also, it will be a challenge for the Minneapolis Miracle to beat the UMBC upset of Virginia, but there is just about anything that could happen in the voting, even the Cinderella run of the Golden Knights.
