Beebe and Taylor splitting WR3 reps

The top positional battle in Vikings camp this year is arguably the fight to be the team’s third receiver. After Laquon Treadwell failed to do anything in the role last season, Minnesota appears to be looking elsewhere for someone new to take over the job.

On Friday, Chad Beebe and Jordan Taylor were the two guys seen splitting the reps as the Vikings’ No. 3 receiver during practice. Treadwell appears to be an afterthought at this point (as he should).

Beebe and Taylor getting these reps shouldn’t be very surprising to anyone. Both were praised numerous times this offseason by Minnesota’s coaching staff and by other players on the team’s roster for the work they did out on the practice field.

While Beebe and Taylor are currently getting the opportunities as the Vikings’ third receiver, both do have a bad history with injuries that could affect their chance to win the job this year. Who wins the job for 2019 will likely just come down to whoever is able to stay the healthiest through camp and the preseason.
