Losing to the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime is not how most expected the Minnesota Vikings to begin their 2021 season.

Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals was supposed one of the most winnable games for the Minnesota Vikings this year.

Instead, the Vikings walked off the field on Sunday with a disappointing loss to a Bengals team that gave the purple and gold multiple opportunities to grab a victory.

Even though Minnesota still has 16 games left on their 2021 schedule to make up for their performance in Cincinnati, it didn’t prevent people from overreacting to the Vikings starting the season with an 0-1 record for the second year in a row.

Some of these overreactions are fair, while others are just a little over the top. It’s not like Minnesota opened their season with a 35-point loss like the Green Bay Packers. Just imagine the type of overreactions Packers fans are having after their team’s abysmal performance on Sunday.

So now that the dust has settled, what were some of the biggest overreactions to Minnesota’s loss to the Bengals on Sunday?
