For the first time in more than 18 years, the Minnesota Vikings were blanked on the scoreboard this past Sunday, taking a 26-0 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks.
The Vikings' defense put forth a solid effort, holding Seattle to only one offensive touchdown and just 219 total yards, marking the second-lowest total surrendered by Brian Flores' unit all year.
Former Minnesota quarterback Sam Darnold was kept in check, completing a season-worst 53.8 percent of his passes for a season-low 128 yards with zero touchdowns. He also took four sacks, two of which came from Dallas Turner, who joined an exclusive club with both being of the strip-sack variety.
The Vikings' offense, however, simply forgot to show up. Filling in for J.J. McCarthy, who sat out his sixth game of the season after failing to clear concussion protocol, undrafted rookie quarterback Max Brosmer struggled something fierce, throwing for just 126 yards and tossing four interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, en route to earning a dreadful 32.8 passer rating.
Minnesota also struggled to get things going on the ground, gaining a mere 66 rushing yards. It didn't help that Aaron Jones exited with a shoulder injury in the third quarter, but it's not as if he'd been all that effective anyway, gaining just three yards on six carries and fumbling the football on the play that ultimately knocked him out of the game.
Jones did at least add 22 yards on four receptions, and with his third catch, which went for 13 yards on a screen pass from Brosmer on the first play of the Vikings' second offensive drive, the ninth-year veteran hit a major milestone, as he surpassed 10,000 career yards from scrimmage.

In doing so, Jones became the 122nd player in NFL history to achieve the feat, which is actually quite fitting, seeing as how Sunday marked the 122nd regular-season game of his career.
He's just the 60th running back/fullback to hit five digits. Given the stats he tallied against Seattle, the UTEP alum now has 10,012 total yards to his name, with 7,378 rushing yards on 1,499 carries and 2,634 receiving yards on 343 catches.

Jones had a chance to hit the mark in the Vikings' Week 12 loss at Lambeau Field to the Green Bay Packers, with whom he spent the first seven years of his career. But after gaining 54 yards in the first half, he recorded only three over the final two quarters, thus leaving him 13 short.
