After it was recently revealed that K.J. Osborn wouldn't mind returning to the Twin Cities for the 2026 season, the former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver has reportedly signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

The 2025 season was a very quiet one for Osborn, as he didn't appear in a single game, and his only time in the league was spent on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad after they signed him in November.

Osborn will turn 29 in June, so he should still have plenty of juice left in the tank. But if he can't find his way onto the Titans' final 2026 roster, it might be time for the former Vikings receiver to start thinking about life after the NFL.

K.J. Osborn has struggled to find a fit since leaving the Minnesota Vikings in 2024

After an uneventful rookie campaign in 2020, Osborn emerged as a solid third option in Minnesota's passing attack behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen during his second season with the team.

With the Vikings in 2021, he hauled in 50 passes for 655 yards and seven touchdowns in 17 appearances. Osborn followed that up in 2022 by finishing with 60 catches for 650 yards and five touchdowns.

However, his solid production in 2021 and 2022 wasn't enough to prevent Minnesota from using its first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to select former USC wide receiver Jordan Addison. After the Vikings did that, it felt like the writing was on the wall for Osborn's eventual exit from the team.

He stuck around for the 2023 season in Minnesota, and then he became a free agent in 2024. Osborn quickly landed a deal with the New England Patriots, and it seemed like he was going to have a good shot to make an impact on the AFC East franchise.

That's not how it went, though.

Osborn only ended up appearing in eight games with the Patriots in 2024 before the two sides agreed to part ways midway through the season, and he eventually wound up joining the Washington Commanders for the remainder of the 2024 campaign.

He re-signed with the Commanders in 2025, but they didn't keep him on their final 53-man roster for the regular season, and a few months later, he landed on the Falcons' practice squad.

In the two seasons since parting with the Vikings in 2024, Osborn has appeared in only eight games and caught just seven passes for 57 yards and one touchdown, production that was nothing close to what he was able to do in a Minnesota uniform.

Now, he's got a difficult task in front of him, as he tries to earn a spot on Tennessee's final 2026 roster. Osborn joins a Titans wide receiver room that already includes Wan'Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, and more.

Will he do enough to impress the Titans' new coaching staff this offseason, or will his 2026 season end up looking similar to how things went in 2025?
