Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison is heading into the most important season of his young NFL career.
Based on how Addison performs on and off the field, he could end up earning himself a massive pay increase during the 2027 offseason.
For those who still might not be convinced the young Vikings receiver is worth a lucrative extension in the future, perhaps a recent NFC North wide receiver ranking from Lombardi Ave's Sayre Bedinger will help alter those feelings.
Bedinger recently ranked the top eight receivers in the division heading into the 2026 season, and in the No. 4 spot, ahead of any current Green Bay Packers or Chicago Bears pass-catchers, is Addison.
NFC North WR Rankings (via Sayre Bedinger)
1. Justin Jefferson (Vikings)
2. Amon-Ra St. Brown (Lions)
3. Jameson Williams (Lions)
4. Jordan Addison (Vikings)
5. Jayden Reed (Packers)
6. Christian Watson (Packers)
7. Rome Odunze (Bears)
8. Luther Burden (Bears)
Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison given more evidence he deserves an extension in 2027
No one should argue with Justin Jefferson and Amon-Ra St. Brown being at the top of this list. Both receivers have consistently performed at a level higher than any other pass-catcher in the NFC North during the last few seasons.
If one wanted to, though, an argument could be made that Addison is worthy of the No. 3 spot instead of Jameson Williams.
Despite having an underwhelming 2025 campaign with Minnesota, Addison still has more career receptions and receiving touchdowns than Williams, despite appearing in four fewer games.
However, Williams has accumulated more catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns in the last two seasons than the Vikings' pass-catcher, so that is likely what resulted in him landing the No. 3 spot.
Still, Addison is ranked higher than every single current Bears and Packers wide receiver, including Jayden Reed and Christian Watson, who both were rewarded with multi-year extensions worth more than $50 million from Green Bay earlier this offseason.
Minnesota has already picked up Addison's fifth-year contract option, so unless he royally screws up off the field, he's expected to make $18 million in 2027. But that number can go up with an extension if he stays out of trouble and he performs well on the field for the Vikings in the upcoming season.
It seems simple enough, but as Minnesota fans have learned during the last three years, it's much easier said than done when it comes to Addison.
