So far this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings have already said goodbye to multiple starters from their 2024 squad, including Sam Darnold, Cam Bynum, and Garrett Bradbury. On Wednesday, Cam Robinson became the latest to move on from the Vikings this year.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Robinson has reportedly signed a deal to play for the Houston Texans. The former Minnesota left tackle and the Texans have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $14.5 million, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

Robinson joined the Vikings in the middle of last season after he was acquired in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He wound up starting a total of 11 games during his time with Minnesota, including the team's first-round playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Cam Robinson the latest former Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman to join the Houston Texans this year

Robinson isn't the only former Vikings offensive lineman to land with Houston this offseason. Last week, Minnesota traded veteran offensive guard Ed Ingram to the Texans in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.

Ingram isn't a guarantee to make Houston's final 2025 roster, but based on the terms of the contract Robinson reportedly agreed to on Wednesday, it seems pretty safe to assume that he will be the team's new starting left tackle next season.

While Robinson has never played for the Texans before, he is returning to the AFC South, which should help make the adjustment to his new team easier. The veteran offensive lineman spent more than seven seasons in the division during his time with the Jaguars, so he's already familiar with some of the top defenders in the AFC South and what it takes to slow them down.

One last important note about Robinson reportedly signing with Houston on Wednesday is that his departure should result in the Vikings landing another compensatory pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Darnold leaving to sign with the Seattle Seahawks is something that was already expected to result in one 2026 compensatory draft selection for Minnesota. But with Robinson joining the Texans, the Vikings will now likely be awarded at least two compensatory picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, according to OverTheCap.com's Nick Korte on Wednesday.
