Jordan Addison has had more than his fair share of legal issues since joining the Minnesota Vikings. The team's first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has sadly been the focus of multiple offseason issues, even being suspended for the start of the 2025 NFL season.
The NFL playoffs aren't even over yet, but there was an arrest of Addison stemming from an alleged trespassing charge. More details have been released recently, and there have been interesting developments involving the incident.
The legal situation involving wide receiver Jordan Addison has taken a positive turn for the young Minnesota Vikings wide receiver.
It seems as though charges will not be filed against Addison. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo shared that news from Addison's agent and attorney on X on Tuesday, with the Vikings receiver preparing for a wrongful arrest civil claim.

This could have been a huge blow to Addison and Minnesota's team. Although he has been a good pass-catcher for the Vikings, there is a limit to the dysfunction that a player can bring to an organization in the NFL.
Star Tribune beat writer Emily Leiker shared that a Notice of Termination of Prosecution has been filed regarding the case. That means the charges against Addison have been dropped from the January 12 incident.
A “Notice of Termination of Prosecution” has been added to the Hillsborough County case file for Jordan Addison’s Florida arrest Jan. 12, indicating that charges are dismissed against the Vikings WR as of Jan. 20.

Jordan Addison is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Vikings. This offseason, a decision will need to be made on his fifth-year option before he will be able to sign his next NFL contract.
This contract will be his first real opportunity to get a massive payday. His talent on the field is enough that he should be able to get a healthy contract, but legal problems or a looming suspension would have hurt those chances dramatically.
For the Vikings, they can likely forget this incident was ever reported in the first place. Even though the arrest is something that fans likely won't forget, having the charges dismissed and filing a civil action for wrongful arrest shows that this incident likely wasn't Addison's fault.
The Minnesota Vikings have struggled in their offense, particularly in the passing game. Having dynamic targets like Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will help once things get figured out with their quarterback and offensive line situations. Hopefully, Addison can be a big part of the future for the purple and gold, and this trend of offseason arrests can finally stop.
