Expectations were low for the Minnesota Vikings heading into their Week 13 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. However, the purple and gold still managed to disappoint their fans all around the world.
The Vikings failed to score a single point against Seattle, falling by a final score of 0-26. It was a day marred by mistakes, frustration, and disappointment that led to them having a 4-8 record on the season.
The offense was embarrassingly bad on Sunday. Minnesota only converted two of its 12 attempts on third and fourth down, gained only 162 yards of offense, and lost the time of possession battle by almost ten minutes.
Still, there were a couple of bright spots against the Seahawks. For example, fans might stop calling for a change at quarterback when J.J. McCarthy returns from being in concussion protocol. However, this might have been the most depressing way to learn that fact.
Minnesota Vikings Winners and Losers from their Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks
Vikings Loser No. 1
Max Brosmer - QB
When a quarterback's first start in the NFL brings up comparisons to one of the worst passers to ever play the game, you know things are bad. Max Brosmer finished the day completing 19 of his 30 passes for 126 yards and no touchdowns. He did have four interceptions and was sacked four times on the day.
Vikings Winner No. 1
Dallas Turner - Edge
The Minnesota Vikings defense did everything they could, and one big reason they were playing well is edge rusher Dallas Turner. He tied for fourth in tackles on the team with five, but it was his two sacks and three quarterback hits that showed he is a player to watch going forward.
Vikings Loser No. 2
Jordan Addison - WR
Brosmer looked to Jordan Addison often in this game, and it rarely paid off. The Vikings quarterback went to the wide receiver ten times on Sunday, but he only caught five of those for 36 yards, with the other results being drops or interceptions.
Vikings Winner No. 2
Eric Wilson - LB
Linebacker Eric Wilson was all over the field against Seattle. The 31-year-old defender has been playing his butt off since returning to Minnesota, and it was no different against the Seahawks. He led all defenders with 11 combined tackles, including four tackles for a loss and one sack of quarterback Sam Darnold.
Vikings Loser No. 3
Aaron Jones - RB
As a receiver, running back Aaron Jones was solid. He caught all four passes that came his way, gaining 22 yards. However, it was his six rushing attempts for three yards and a lost fumble that put him in the doghouse after that game. An inexperienced quarterback needs to lean on his running back, and a veteran like Jones really struggled to help the offense.
