Sep 14, 2015; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (5) scrambles against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi
5. Teddy Bridgewater
The Vikings QB was very candid Wednesday in assessing his own performance Monday night.
Bridgewater admitted that he played too fast, tried to do too much (like the rest of the team apparently) and didn’t do a good enough job pointing out protections.
The protection thing may partly be a function of the loss of John Sullivan, who helped out Bridgewater in that area last year.
Now that Bridgewater watched the tape and knows what mistakes he made against San Francisco, he’s got to get that corrected.
Yes I dropped an homage to Leslie Frazier. What of it?
All kidding aside, Bridgewater simply was not good Monday night and he knows it and smart fans who are not deluded about Bridgewater’s level of development know it.
And believe me, Norv and Scott Turner will be working hard with Teddy Bridgewater to make sure he plays better.
He has to play better than he did Monday night. That looked like a skittish rookie out there, not a second-year player.
Tentative Teddy needs to go back to being Steady Teddy.
Next: Safety situation remains fluid
