This week’s edition of the weekly FanSided mock goes against the grain of recent mocks and gives the Vikings DeVante Parker instead of Trae Waynes (via FanSided.com):
"The Minnesota Vikings could benefit from a strong weapon on the outside, and what better way to get things rolling than by adding Parker, who is the former college teammate of budding star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. With the chemistry already there, the Vikings could seamlessly work Parker in to their offensive gameplan where he could make an impact from Day 1."
What the Vikings do/don’t do in free agency will go a long way toward indicating what their draft plans might be. If they take a shot with a player like Michael Crabtree, then wide receiver likely won’t be as high a priority come draft day. If they go through free agency without upgrading their receiver corps, then a player like Parker might be in play.
I personally would prefer to see them work on their secondary in the first round and worry about receiver later.
