"Nate Orchard completed 23 reps on the bench and looked terrific in position drills. I’m told since last night, Orchard met with the Cleveland Browns, who project him to linebacker, the Indianapolis Colts, who project him to defensive end, as well as the Minnesota Vikings at length."

The 6-3, 250-lb Orchard reportedly impressed Indianapolis Colts scouts (via NFL.com):

"The Utes’ top prospect, Orchard, passed on the 40-yard dash, according to Carter Williams of desertnews.com, after turning in a 4.80 clocking at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. However, he did take part in position drills at both outside linebacker and defensive end, and a Colts scout praised Orchard’s ability to catch the ball during his drills."

CBSSports.com compares Orchard to Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich:

"Although they have their struggles vs. the run, both Ninkovich and Orchard use savvy pass rush ability and a nonstop motor to be effective."

WHAT KIND OF MOTOR DOES HE HAVE? THE NON-STOP KIND!

Orchard looks like a pure speed pass rusher at the next level who will not be much of an asset against the run. Doesn’t sound like the kind of guy Mike Zimmer would covet as high as the second round. Maybe if he drops into the middle rounds.
